Facebook Messenger has introduced a new feature called Screen Sharing feature. This new feature is available for both Android and iOS users. Now, all the Facebook Messenger users can share their phone’s screen during a video call with their friends.

Screen Sharing Feature In Facebook Messenger On Android and iOS Platforms
Screen Sharing feature on Facebook can be accessed on the Web and desktop via Facebook Messenger Rooms. If you know, this feature is similar to Zoom, which allows the users to share their phone or desktop screen with their friends.
The Facebook Messenger app users can share their screen with up to eight people in a video call. While the Messenger Room allows 16 people at once.
This new screen sharing feature is rolling out on mobile platforms to allow the users to share their device screens with other participants on a video call. With this, you can share a live view of whatever you are doing on your phone. According to Facebook, this way is easy to stay connected with your friends and family even when you are not together physically.
Screen Sharing on Messenger has come at the right time when video calling has become routine in everyone’s life.

How to use Facebook Messenger Screen Sharing feature?
- First, open the Facebook Messenger app and start a video call with your friend.
- On your screen, pull up the bottom tab.
- From there, select share your screen option.
- That’s it! Now, your phone’s screen will be visible to your friend with whom you are on a video call.
Facebook has also announced to expand a limit of screen sharing in Messenger Rooms to 50 people. It will also add some control features which can share their screen in the Rooms. The Room creators will have the ability to decide to restrict the screen sharing to themselves or allow the participants to do it.
Messenger Rooms on Android and iOS will also get Screen Sharing support and will allow up to 16 people at once. A few months ago, Facebook launched Messenger Rooms as a new video calling feature services like Skype and Zoom. With this feature, up to 50 people can do a video calling at once. And the good thing is that if you don’t have a Facebook account then also you can join the video call.
