As one can see, the console’s screen is wrapped in a plastic sheet on the front, which shows a simple menu system and a QR code, the purpose of which is unknown, reports The Verge. In one image, one can see the screen has been removed to show the frame behind it.
Further, the design of the upcoming PlayStation handheld looks like an extended version of the PS5 DualSense controller with a screen placed in the middle and is likely to have built-in microphones, speakers, a D-pad, the signature PlayStation Circle, Triangle, Square, and X buttons and shoulder buttons.
Additionally, the device features an 8-inch LCD screen capable of streaming games up to 1080p resolution at 60 fps (frames per second). It is likely to be a cloud-based gaming device, which means PS5 users will be able to stream their games to the device over the internet via the user’s PS5 home console. Sony could also let users imitate retro PS games from devices like PSP and PS Vita.
While Sony has yet to announce an official release date for Project Q, the device is reportedly expected to make its debut in November this year.
