We all know about Snapchat, but it is not going to stay as it is because the platform now has an AI chatbot, and what makes it special is that this AI chatbot is powered by Chat GPT’s parent company, Open AI’s GPT technology.
You might be wondering what could be the reason for adding this chatbot and how this addition will provide more features to the platform users, so let’s delve into all details below.
Snapchat’s ‘My AI’ Chatbot: All Details
Last year, the company revealed that its platforms have around 750 million active users, and approximately only two million people have subscribed to their premium subscription, which is called Snapchat+.
In a strategic way to increase the number of paid users in the Snapchat+ service, the company has launched an AI chatbot named ‘My AI‘ and if you want to use this ‘My AI’, you have to pay for a Snapchat+ subscription, which cost $3.99 monthly.
And this ‘My AI’ chatbot is capable of doing all the things which famous ChatGPT can do. The main difference between the both is that My AI is trained by Snapchat’s employees, so it is like Snapchat’s version of ChatGPT that follows their platform’s atmosphere.
You can also see the above screenshot that shows its way of talking. Besides, the company trained it to avoid misinformation and make it work under safety guidelines, such as you will not get any reply from it if your text contains any violent, sexual, or political content.
And the company said sorry in advance for this, and it may have decided that after seeing other chatbot incidents, for example, Google’s Bard provided the wrong answer, and the company lost around $100 billion.
The company’s CEO, Evan Spiegel, expressed his thought on this AI and said, “The big idea is that in addition to talking to our friends and family every day, we’re going to talk to AI every day”.
