iPhone users got Whatsapp Dark Mode first, and then in March, the Whatsapp Dark Mode came for Android users also. However, it took longer to roll out on Android. Dark Mode feature was the most awaited feature in the instant messaging platform. Now, it seems the popular chat app will be seen different in the upcoming update.
WhatsApp beta tests new chat bubble colours in dark mode.
According to WABetainfo, a new beta version of Whatsapp for iOS will have some changes to the colours which is used in the dark mode. At present, the chat bubbles colour remains the same when you switch from light mode to dark mode. The messages which you send are in light green colour, and the messages which you receive are in a shade of white.
As per the reports, in the new update, the colour will be same green and white bubbles, but the shades will be changed to gentler, lighter.
In the feature update, the new colour for bubbles will be available. However, the feature is still under development, and the release date is not yet out. The picture is shared from Whatsapp iOS version. If the colour is changed in Whatsapp for iOS, then they will do the same for Whatsapp for Android also.
However, it is not clear why Whatsapp is trying to use a different colour. Is the company planning to introduce more different colours? This new green is the first new colour.
The change has appeared in the beta version, and it does not mean that it will reach to all the users soon. If the company decides the change is not working, then it could remove it in the update. Now, it remains to see what will happen with new colours, will Whatsapp add more colours?
