Last month, YouTube announced that it was designing the video page of its app. Now, the company has finally rolled out the redesigned homepage to its Android and iOS apps. The video watch page of YouTube on mobile has got a facelift. This new design came after Google announced that Android and iOS apps would get the update soon.
YouTube Gets Redesigned Video Watch Page on Mobile
One of the latest updates which all the users will see in the comment box position. All the mobile users can now see and post comments by just clicking on the comment box under the channel bar with the subscribe button. Earlier the users need to scroll down to the end of the page to post or view comments.
Apart from the YouTube app, YouTube Music App will also get some new features like “Explore” tab and much more. The update is available for both Android and iOS users.
YouTube has updated the comment bar on any video page which is now visible to both Android and iOS users of the app. Earlier, Google said the tech giant found more people were writing comments with the new design. Moreover, Google has shown large thumbnails in the “Up next” feed.
While explaining the new YouTube update, Google said,
“You’ll also notice channel icons below each video to help you recognise your favourite creators while you scroll through the feed.”
The company also said that the YouTube Android and iOS app would show “new types” of content besides the videos in Up Next feed of the page. The content will be “Community Posts, “YouTube Mixes” and much more.
Google has announced through YouTube Music on Twitter and said that both Android and iOS users of the app would be able to find the new music from the new “Explore” tab. In the “explore” tab, there will be “New Releases” and “Moods and genres” tab which will have a variety of music options.
You can also check out the lyrics of the song from the page only where the music is playing. Soon, this feature will be updated in the feature.
