Design and Display

On the body, the P Smart 2020 comes with a new panel that looks different from the 2019 model. The panel houses a combo camera set-up with an LED flash in the same vertical segment. Below it is the branded logo and when you look at the center is the fingerprint scanner.

It’s built with glass on the front and plastic on the back and frame. The Huawei P Smart 2020 measures 155.2 x 73.4 x 8 mm in dimensions and weight 160 gram making it another lightweight device.

On the front, it has a screen size of 6.21 inches that makes use of the LTPS IPS LCD panel. It has a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels, 19.5:9 ratio, and 415 PPI density with a waterdrop notch. It also reaches an 83.1% screen-to-body ratio.

Camera

The Huawei P Smart 2020 is equipped with a combo rear camera of 12 MP and another 2 MP depth sensor.

The camera comes with some features such as LED flash, HDR, panorama and it can record 2K videos at 30 seconds per frame. For selfies and video calling, it has an 8 MP snapper that features HDR and f/2.0 aperture.

Hardware and Software

On the hardware, Huawei equipped the device with its own Kirin 710 based on 12 nm process technology. This mid-range SOC has an octa-core processor with a clocking speed of 2.2 GHz and then Mali-G51 MP4 for graphics.

It runs on the Android 9.0 Pie operating system with EMUI 9.1 user interface and also Google Play Services as well. The onboard storage on the phone is 128GB with 4GB RAM. You can also expand the storage using a micro SD card.

The Huawei P Smart 2020 packs a 3400 mAh battery with standard charging technology. It has a 3G and 4G network with a built-in GPS for navigation, Near Field Communications (NFC) for easy mobile payment, and FM radio for entertainment.
