Steps to Send Disappearing Photos/Videos on WhatsApp
Before following the steps, please note that the ‘View Once’ mode is only available for beta testers at this moment. So, if you are a beta tester, you need to install the WhatsApp update from the Google Play Store.
However, if you are using the stable build of WhatsApp, you might want for a few more weeks or months to use this feature. Follow the steps given below.
Step 1. First of all, open the WhatsApp app on your Android smartphone.
Step 2. Now, open any chat and click on the ‘Attachments‘ button.
Step 3. Now pick an image as you usually do to send photos/videos in the messaging app.
Step 4. On the media preview page, you will find the ‘View Once’ button. The button is located just below the Send button.
Step 5. Tap on the View once button, and on the confirmation pop-up, tap on the ‘Ok’
Step 6. If the option is enabled, the icon will turn green. You can now tap on the Send button to send the disappearing image.
Step 7. Once sent, you will see a text that says ‘Photo‘ with a clock icon next to it. The clock icon represents that the View once mode is enabled.
That’s it! You are done. Whenever the recipient opens the Photo, the text ‘Photo’ will change to ‘Opened’.
