DigiTimes, a supply chain publication, reports that Apple will release new MacBook Pro models in the fourth quarter of 2022. Since the 13-inch model was upgraded earlier this year, the rumor presumably refers to the following generation’s 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros.

The report lends credence to several summertime rumors, making it more likely that the new MacBook will be released in October, allowing you to access your favorite NFL picks, social media, and news easier.

It was unclear whether the next 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pro models would use 3nm or 5nm CPUs, given they had not been disclosed. However, it appears increasingly likely that they will release 5nm processors later this year.

Apple is set to host a Mac and iPad event in October, so it would make sense for new MacBook Pro models to be released at that time.

However, Bloomberg said in June, mere days after Apple ceased production of the M2-powered MacBook Air and MacBook Pro for this year, that upgraded 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pros could be released in early 2023.

These MacBooks will resemble their predecessors in appearance, although they may contain more powerful M2 Max CPUs with up to 38 GPU cores.

Apple often introduces new hardware in October, and we anticipate a recent hardware announcement in Cupertino next month. However, the gear displayed at this event has evolved throughout time.

The first M1 Pro and M1 Max MacBook Pro models were revealed in 2021, but it could be an iMac or Mac Pro this year. There are rumors that a new iPad Pro will be released this fall.

The new MacBook Pro features, among other things, a chassis with rounded corners, a notch at the top of the screen, and ports such as MagSafe and HDMI. Typically, it takes several generations of MacBooks before the hardware is significantly updated.

The Expected Releases

Apple has a strong track record in presenting new goods, and the rumored October event this year is expected to be no exception. Once iPhones, AirPods, and Apple Watches are no longer in the way, Apple’s renowned MacBook Pro range can shine.

The new MacBook Pros released last year were significantly redesigned. MagSafe and several connectors that had been absent for some years were reinstated. (It also had other features, such as the contentious notch on laptop screens.)

Since the release of the remarkable MacBook Pro 14 with M1 Pro a year ago, the MacBook Air M2 and the 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2 have been introduced. According to speculations, the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models may be refreshed this year.

What is the most noticeable alteration? CPUs M2 Pro and M2 Max Given that M2 is superior to M1; the forthcoming MacBook Pro models will likely be quite powerful.

We do not expect this year’s MacBooks’ bodies to undergo significant alterations. According to credible sources, new processors will be the “main enhancement” to the MacBook Pro series this year. It is also uncommon for the same MacBook model to undergo major design revisions twice.

The new 14-inch and 16-inch models should appear identical to those released in October 2021; however, the M2 Pro and M2 Max CPUs will make them faster and more energy efficient.

People believe the CPUs will be manufactured using a 5nm technique and will contain more GPU cores and RAM than the M1 processors.

Apple may unveil improved MacBook Pros, a new Mac mini with the M2 processor, new iPad Pro models, and even the Apple silicon Mac Pro at an event next month.

Compared to Intel-based Windows laptops, DigiTimes reports that the number of shipping MacBooks has “remained relatively stable.” According to the analysis, the new MacBook Air with the M2 chip and the upcoming MacBook Pro models might help Apple’s share of the laptop market reach a nearly five-year high in 2022.

Expected Dates

Speculations regarding an Apple event in October have been circulating for some time, and following the September event, they appear more likely.

At the Far Out event, we saw new iPhones, Apple Watches, and AirPods, but no Macs or iPads. According to reports, Apple will unveil new tablets, laptops, and desktops in the future, likely around the middle of October, just in time for the holiday shopping season.

Apple conducted its Unleashed event on October 18 last year, just over a month after its last event in September. Using this trend as a reference, we anticipate that an event will be scheduled for the middle of October, and an announcement will be made at the beginning of the month.
