If you have been reading tech news regularly, you might have read about Google’s recent announcement. Recently, Google announced that it would change the Google Photos Apps’s policy offering free unlimited storage.
From June 1, 2021, all new images and videos uploaded to Google Photos will be counted towards the 15GB of free storage offered with every Google Account. That means that the free Google Photos service is about to end on June 1, 2021.
However, the new policy will not impact the photos and video files you have already stored on Google Photos. Due to the new policy, Google Photos has added a new feature that tells users how long their current cloud storage will last. The new feature tells you about the amount of storage left on your Google Account.
Along with that, the new feature also gives users an estimate on when their current storage will run out. It calculates the estimated left time by considering your upload history.
