Multiple leaks have already hinted that Microsoft is secretly working on Windows 12, and now, a new leak which is related to Intel’s next-gen processors has clarified Windows 12 details.
Microsoft hasn’t officially revealed anything about the next version of windows os, but it is seemingly in work and expected to get launched next with multiple AI features. Let’s discuss further details below.
Intel Meteor Lake’s Leak Showed Windows 12 Support
It all started when a tech leaker from Japan known as @leaf_hobby shared some leaked details regarding Intel’s upcoming 14th-generation Meteor Lake-S desktop processors on his Twitter account.
In those leaks, he also found Windows 12 as listed in a supported operating system’s list for Intel’s this processor, and after that, his tweet got deleted, and the reason is still unclarified.
The most interesting part is that the well-known website The Verge has tried to reach out to Intel and Microsoft to make a comment on this new leak, then both these companies refused to reply.
This clearly shows that these leaks are accurate because the origin companies could try to correct if this leak was wrong. It also assures an earlier leak related to the release date of Windows 12.
Intel’s upcoming 14th-generation Meteor Lake-S desktop processors are expected to arrive at the end of 2023 or early 2024.
And as Microsoft grabbed a three-year cycle in implementation for the next Windows version release, so we would see Windows 12 launch in the second half of 2024, which means they both have matching launch timelines.
Besides, Windows 12 is also expected to have multiple new features that will be powered by AI as the company is nowadays obsessed with AI technology from Open AI.
Currently, there is not much information available about Windows 12’s AI features, but Windows 11 will soon get a feature that will officially make an entry of AI to Windows, and this feature is a search bar in the taskbar that is integrated with Bing.
