The destination is no other than the Jumia Nigeria Head Quarters! What exactly could the occasion be that will make these illustrious names from all around the country take a break from their extremely busy schedules to make the trip down to the Jumia office? You guessed it! It is the Tech Blogger Round Table 2016 Edition which is to set the ball rolling for the Jumia Mobile Week Reloaded.
The Tech Blogger Round Table sit down was attended by Top Tech bloggers, which are the best in the business when it comes to tech blogging: LowkeyTech, Android Nigeria, TechPortal, TechSuplex, TechCabal, GeekNG, MissTechy, Ogbonge blog, Tech City, BrowsingPhones, Naij.com and more.
Jumia’s Mobile Week gold partners and your renowned and favorite brands were present to mingle, discuss and debate with the creme de la creme of the tech world. We are of course talking about Samsung, InnJoo, Infinix, Tecno and Lenovo! One of our key partners for Mobile Week, the insurance company Axa Mansard, also grace the event yesterday at the jumia corporate headquarters at Ikeja,Lagos.
Axa Mansard talked about the key insights on Nigeria’s mobile scene with mobile insurance scheme.
The most comprehensive info graphic ever on mobile trends in Africa 2016 based on Jumia unparalleled data on the subject and insights from the best in class (we are talking about Facebook, Google, Criteo and more) was shown and it was indeed breathtaking.
The even proper started by the arrival of various tech bloggers, follow by registrations then the live hands on experience of few mobile phones that would be sold on the jumia mobile week starting on may 31st.
Innjoo showcased their new devices: The innjoo halo plus, InnJoo Fire 2 Plus LTE, InnJoo Fire 2.
Tech bloggers, brands and axa mansard staffs were all welcome by Jumia Bertille Guitton to the 2016 Jumia mobile week Tech bloggers roundtable.
Introduction by various Tech bloggers and brand representatives, discussions and interactions between tech bloggers and brands, Both camps got the opportunity to ask the pressing questions in the technological world: Is bigger really better? Does the design of phone influence the customer’s purchase decision? And many more!
Brands and bloggers provided various answers to these questions which generated heated arguments between the brands and tech bloggers.
Games of tech questions was played between brands and the tech bloggers. We bloggers were leading in points and we won.
Also at the event the Brand versus Blogger showdown, this involves brands and tech bloggers answering tech related questions.
The 2016 jumia mobile week tech bloggers roundtable ended with refreshments and networking between brands and tech bloggers.
