Oppo launched the Oppo Reno3 5G and its part of the company 5G phones that comes with an impressive cameras set-up. Apart from the camera, the device is also blessed with a premium body design, generous inbuilt storage, and also a capable RAM on the hood. It is the 5G variant of the Oppo Reno 3, though 5G is not the only thing that is different in both smartphones.

Design and Display

The Oppo Reno3 5G is a flagship device that it entire body that is built with glass. This is to say both the front and back are made of glass while the frame has an aluminum. It measures 160.3 x 74.3 x 8 mm in dimensions and weight 181 grams.

On the front, it comes with a waterdrop notch that offers a display size of 6.4 inches with an AMOLED display panel. The screen packs a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, a tall 20:9 ratio, and 408 PPI density. It has display protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 with 430 nits brightness.

Camera

For photography, the Oppo Reno3 5G is blessed with a 64M main camera, another 8MP wide-angle lens, 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP Black & White camera. Unfortunately, there is no optical zoom on this phone and it also skips the telephoto lens.

Upfront is a selfies camera of 32 MP wide with HDR support. The good thing is that the primary camera can shoot 4K videos and it features LED flash, HDR, and panorama.

Hardware and Software

Rocking the smartphone is a new Dimensity 1000L 5G chipset. The chip has an octa-core processor handling its assignment at a speed of 2.2 GHz with Mali-G77 MP9 for graphics. It runs on Android 10 with ColorOS 7 out of the box.

The inbuilt storage on the Oppo Reno3 5G is 128GB with 8GB RAM, another model comes with a 128GB peg at 12GB RAM. There is no slot for SDcard on the device.

Battery and Other Features

The Oppo Reno3 5G packs a 4025 mAh nonremovable battery with VOOC 4.0 charging. The juicer also packs fast charging 30W that the company claim will charge the battery to 50% in 20 minutes.

Oppo Reno3 5G has SA/NSA dual-mode 5G networks and comes with an under-display fingerprint scanner for security. It has Wi-Fi, NFC, A-GPS, Gameboost 2.0, Dolby Atmos speakers, Smart 5G, and Bluetooth 5.0. Inside the box is 3.1 USB cable for charging.

Oppo Reno3 5 Price and Availability

The Oppo Reno3 5G will cost around $486 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB ROM variant, while the 12GB RAM and 128GB variant go up to $528.

In Nigeria, the smartphone will start selling at a price of 195,000, 3,000 Ghs in Ghana, and 55,000 Ksh in Kenya. The phone will ship in White, Black, Starry Night Blue, and Sunrise.
